Beginner’s guide to flag7x for iPhone

Get started: camera access, Photo and Video, Color Tones, flash, and saving to your library—no jargon, just the basics.

flag7x turns your iPhone into a straightforward camera for the compact flash-camera look you see in your favorite travel and creator shots—vibrant color, flattering light, and no manual editing afterward. As on the App Store, it uses machine learning alongside recreated color profiles and dynamic tone curves so results feel polished, not like a filter pasted on later. This walkthrough covers only what you tap and see in the app.

1. First launch

Allow camera access when iOS asks so you can see the live preview. To save shots, allow Photos access (you can often choose “add only”). Complete the short onboarding, then you are ready to shoot.

2. Photo or Video

Switch between Photo and Video with the mode control. Stills and clips share the same distinctive flag7x look—what you see in the preview is what you are aiming for in your library, without picking filters after the fact.

3. Color Tones

Open Color Tones and choose Warm, Neutral, or Cool depending on the scene. You can change your mind anytime before you capture. Want more detail? See warm, neutral, and cool Color Tones.

4. Frame and capture

Pinch or use on-screen zoom to reframe. Tap the shutter for a photo. In Photo mode, icons along the top open extras like the timer, burst-style capture, and Live Photo when you want them. Smart focus can be turned on or off in Settings if you prefer a different feel.

5. Flash

Cycle through Off, Auto, Standard, and Max to match the room or street. Standard and Max are great when you want a bright subject against a darker background. In Settings you will find additional flash-related choices if you like to fine-tune. For selfie video, use the flash control in Video mode when you need a little more light on your face.

6. Settings worth a quick visit

  • Photo quality—pick what balances detail and everyday shooting for you.
  • Aspect ratio plus optional grid, level, and composition overlays.
  • Tap-to-shutter, volume keys as shutter, haptics, and mirror selfies.
  • Video quality and motion-smoothing options if you record often.

Quick tips

  • If the mood feels off, switch Color Tones and watch the preview—not your editing app.
  • Busy backgrounds calm down when you step closer or wait for a cleaner moment.
  • At night, try flash or a cooler tone until the preview matches what you want to post.
